From Stephanie: A hundred times better than handcuffs

Not having a headboard to attach handcuffs to is a real restriction to beginners' bondage play. Even with a headboard, metal handcuffs can be quite rattly and noisy, and personally I've never liked the hard metal feel or the appearance of the 'fluffy' versions.Thank goodness for the Hard Limits set!It's presented in a posh black box with "Fifty Shades of Grey" printed in silver on the front. Inside there's the under-bed restraints kit, including four soft cuffs and a handy blindfold.The kit is simple enough to set up, although I had a bit of trouble lifting the mattress. The great thing is that once it's been set up once you can just tuck it all away under the mattress so it's not visible but still very easy to get to.The clip attachments mean you can use the cuffs without the under-bed restraints if you want, and it also means that you have the option to clip the restraints together, holding both wrists above your head instead of one in each upper corner. With this method though I did find that hair can get caught in the clips, but it's no trouble to just move down the bed a little to prevent that.The easy velcro fastening means no fussing around tying ribbons and the soft cuffs are really comfortable to wear, so you can focus on what's going on elsewhere without the distraction of uncomfortable restraints.Since everything's held down by the mattress, you can pull hard on the restraints without getting anywhere, and there's the added bonus of no rattling headboard!You don't have to be a fan of the Fifty Shades trilogy to enjoy this set - it's brilliant.

Looked at all of the alternatives and plumped for the 50 Shades version, perhaps swayed by the name but more by the very professional look.When it arrived the packaging was superb, the kit was easy to set up and we have left the main straps under the bed for next time.Cuffs were comfy and the blindfold very effective and comfortable.
